Year 5/6 Quadkids Athletics - Weds 22nd May 2019
On Wednesday 22nd May, Longfield took 10 children to take part in the Quadkids Athletics Competition at Banisters Athletics Stadium. This was a year 5-6 event however we fielded 1 year 4 and 9 year 5's, as our strongest year 6 runners were on different school trip. All children performed really well and we should be proud of where we finished considering the difference in age.

Longfield had several good finishes in the track races, particularly the 600m where we had been practicing pacing ourselves in the weeks leading up to the event. Fin and Elise both finished 3rd in their 600m race and Rameel came 2nd in his 75m sprint. A special mention goes out to Ananya from year 4 who took part in her first event for Longfield today, keeping up nicely with girls 2 years older than herself! This was a super experience for the whole squad.
