Our vision at Longfield is for every child to experience a variety of sports and physical activities that inspire and motivate so that physical activity is enjoyed and embedded in their healthy lifestyle.

P.E. Sport and Fixtures:

At Longfield we adopt an inclusive approach to P.E. & Sport. We believe it is important for children to get the opportunity not only take part in P.E. and Sports Clubs, but also to represent their school in Fixtures and Tournaments. Naturally there will be different levels of ability and experience, so we try to arrange opportunities for children to play at their current level.

We value opportunity, respect, fair play and inclusion more than winning at all costs.

Children from different year groups take part in fixtures and festivals against local schools throughout the year. Over the last 5 years have seen a dramatic increase in children representing the school in sport, being excited and inspired by the opportunity and the challenge.

Most fixtures will be aimed at Years 5 & 6 however there will be opportunities for other year groups throughout the course of the year.

Our aim is that by the time children leave Year 6 to go on to secondary school, they will have represented Longfield in at least 1 fixture or a festival. This way we hope to promote a lifelong interest in sport, being active, and living a healthy, balanced life.
