Year 6 Football Match v St Georges.

On Monday 14th October Longfield travelled to St Georges to play in their first League match of the season. Longfield started well going 1-0 up through Rameel's close range finish from a corner. After a slick passing move, Zayan scored a fabulous solo goal taking the score to 2-0 at half time. St Georges fought back hard and Longfield had to defend for a lot of the second half, but still created chances through Aaron, Owen and Reuben. St Georges finished strong and scored 2 goals in quick succession with 5 minutes to play, taking the score to 2-2. Longfield had a goal disallowed with 2 minutes to go, and then with seconds remaining dragged a shot just wide of the target. A great effort, but a good point gained! Well done guys!
